Which plan should I start with?

If you're new to T49 or tracking occasional shipments, start with Free. No commitment, no credit card. If you need full dashboards, documents, and reporting for your team, Lite is the right starting point. If you need API access, integrations, or want to connect T49 to your TMS or ERP, start with Essential. Can I start on Free and upgrade later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many teams start on Free to validate workflows and get familiar with the platform, then upgrade when they need more users, API access, documents, or integrations. You can upgrade directly from within the app at any time.

Question 3

What's the difference between PAYG and Essential?

Accepted Answer

PAYG and Essential include the same features. The difference is commitment: Essential is an annual contract with a lower per-container rate, while PAYG has no annual commitment at a higher per-container rate. PAYG is a good fit for teams with variable or seasonal volume who aren't ready to commit. Once you're in the app on a Free account, you can upgrade to PAYG directly from your billing settings.

Is there a contract or can I cancel anytime?

Free and PAYG have no annual commitment and you can stop at any time. Lite, Essential, and Complete are annual contracts. If you're not sure which fits your business, PAYG gives you full Essential-level access with no commitment while you evaluate.

Question 5

What happens if I track more containers than my plan allows?

Accepted Answer

On Free, there's a maximum of 10 active containers. On paid plans, if you track more containers than expected you'll be billed for overage at the end of the billing cycle. Contact our team if you expect your volume to change significantly and we can help you find the right plan.

Question 6

How do document credits work?

Accepted Answer

Each document you process consumes credits. One credit to classify and link a document (Capture), and one additional credit to extract data from it into your custom fields (Extraction). Every plan includes a number of free credits to start. On Lite and above you can purchase additional credit packs when your included credits run out. Free plan credits cannot be topped up.

Do you integrate with my TMS or ERP?

Yes. Essential and Complete plans include API access to receive shipment updates via webhooks, which works with most TMS and ERP systems. DataSync to ERP/TMS is available as an add-on on Essential and Complete for deeper, automated data sync. We also offer a Routing API and DataSync to Google Sheets as add-ons. Contact us to discuss your specific integration needs.

Question 8

Can you provide yard visibility?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Terminal49 provides container availability for pickup, yard location, last free day, holds, and fees where provided by the terminal. This is included on all plans.

Question 9

Can you provide on-the-road visibility?

Accepted Answer

We do not provide visibility for containers moving over the road. Terminal49 covers ocean, port, terminal, and rail legs of the container journey.

Question 10

Can you track containers for notified parties?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you have a master bill of lading, booking number, or container number, you can track those containers in Terminal49. You do not need to be a notify party on the shipment.
