Pre-Alert / Arrival Notice
A pre-alert or arrival notice is a communication sent by the carrier, freight forwarder, or logistics provider to the consignee or recipient, informing them of the impending arrival of their shipment. This notice typically includes important details such as the estimated arrival date, port or terminal of discharge, container number, and any charges due before the cargo can be released. The pre-alert/arrival notice helps the consignee prepare for the receipt and clearance of goods, ensuring a smooth and efficient logistics process.
