Request for Proposal (RFP)
A Request for Proposal (RFP) is a formal document issued by a company or organization inviting potential suppliers or service providers to submit proposals for a specific project, service, or procurement. In logistics, an RFP outlines the company’s requirements, objectives, and criteria for selecting a provider for services such as transportation, warehousing, or supply chain management. The RFP process allows the issuing organization to evaluate various proposals based on factors like cost, expertise, capacity, and proposed solutions, ensuring that they select the best partner to meet their logistical needs. An RFP typically includes detailed information on the scope of work, timelines, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
